Our Next Concert

Saturday 28th September

High Sheriff of Hertfordshire's Charity Concert
7.30pm Haileybury College

In her year as High Sheriff of Hertfordshire Sarah Beazley hopes to support and encourage work across Hertfordshire in building stronger communities.

In September, Royston Choral Society will be one of nine Hertfordshire community choirs that will come together to sing, both separately and together, to raise money for the small charities and voluntary organisations in the county that make an enormous difference to so many. These organisations play an important part in bringing communities together, just as choirs do through music.

There will be a varied musical programme to reflect broad musical talent and different tastes in music and Andrew O’Brien, Director of Music at Haileybury College, will conduct the massed choirs as hundreds of voices sing together.

The combined choirs will be singing:
You raise me up (Graham and Lovland)
Do you hear the people sing? (from Les Miserables)
Hallelujah Chorus (from Messiah)
Jerusalem

Royston Choral Society will be singing "Sure on this shining night" from Lauridsen's Nocturnes that we performed in our June concert.
